It’s looking like everything is set for Dallas Code Camp 2007: Microsoft Campus in Irving on April 21st and the agenda is officially released. And I’ll be talking on the DevExpress products, CodeRush and Refactor! Pro. I was originally slated to give an expanded version of my Windows Presentation Foundation and XAML talk from the Dallas .NET User Group but since Ed Blankenship is coming all the way from NJ and has a pretty cool announcement, I’m deferring to him. I’m pretty excited about the productivity talk and hope that all goes well – if you’re in the area, it will certainly be worth your time.
GTD Reboot…
April 2, 2007I seem to reach a point at which I feel a driving need to change tools. First it was from paper to My Life Organized; then it was MLO to MonkeyGTD; now it’s MonkeyGTD to something else. Why do I feel the need to reboot my system?? Is it a symptom of not keeping things “squeaky clean” or just “tool-itis”?? Obviously if I’m rebuilding my system on a regular basis, I’m not getting things done so how do I stop this madness??
I know that there’s a tipping point which I must pass in order to really “get” GTD and most folks say it’s just time in the system as a whole but I’m beginning to wonder if system hopping is the same as pressing a reset button for myself.
April Fool’s Pranks…
April 1, 2007I’m a prankster as much (if not more) than the next guy so I found this one to be GMail Paper to be worth a chuckle. All too often I find myself slipping into the “oh no, the whole network/website/internet is down” rut so I’ve started looking for some better angles. What’s the best prank you’ve pulled off (April 1st or otherwise)??
