Why is it that most “green” vehicles are butt ugly?? The Ford Airstream looks like something out of a 1950’s sci-fi flick. All you need it Gort to crawl out of it – if I yell “Klaatu barada nikto!”, will that make them stop?? The Chevy Volt looks like something that Schumacher’s Batman would drive – not something you’d ever catch me in. I know that Dodge has been dropping these turds for a few years now, so why does Chevy feel the need to pick them up??
I know that a green vehicle doesn’t have to mean compromise, just look at the Tesla Roadster. It’s got all the marbles of a Porchse Boxster and the sex appeal of a Lotus. For all it’s expense ($80K), it goes a long way to show what could be…

Totally agree with you on this Dave. When we were shopping for a new car last July, I really wanted to look at the hybrids, but unfortunately there were no reasonably priced, good-looking, family sized 4 door sedan hybrids. Either they look stupid or they are overpriced.
Maybe when the time comes to replace our other car things will look better in this space. Still waiting for that plugin hybrid SUV with 3rd row seating.
