I’ve been a FeedBurner user for well over a year now. Lots of things you can do with that service, I’ve been very happy with it. The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s external, so you’ll need to set your ping service to hit FeedBurner to let it know you published, even though it should cycle through and check your site every 30 minutes or so anyway.
