Vertua Studios (finally)…

February 15, 2006

I’ve kept up with Ethan Marcotte thru his blog, sidesh0w.com, for quite some time now. He’s amazingly talented and I’m glad that he finally finished his “work” site, Vertua Studios. Clean and simple while being effective…*oogles stretchy header*

We’ve All Wanted To Do This…

Blenz gets Bent over

I guess the employees of this Blenz Cafe in Vancouver had put up with their boss long enough. The four co-signors decided to up and leave at once and post a little note to everyone about the action. Beyond Robson is the one that rode past and posted it. Having personally worked for some real losers, I gotta hand it to these folks for standing up to a boss that sounds like he deserved it.

Fun With Faces…

February 9, 2006

Here’s a fun site that utilizes facial recognition to attempt to connect you to your ancestors (oh, and they have a “celebrity option” as well :) ). And for the record, I look like Keith Moon, Benicio Del Toro, Robert DeNiro, and Katie Holmes…yikes.

More Microsoft Censorship…

February 7, 2006

Well, well…looks like I’ve finally seen first hand that when Microsoft doesn’t want something around. I was reading up on Commerce Server 2006 and came across a blog by Bryce Milton (a MS employee). As per my usual routine, I started to run thru some old posts to get a feel for the author. I came across this post and figured I’d use the links HE PROVIDED to read about this Richard Gregg character he referred to. Here’s the MSN link he provided (click for full size):

MSN Search for Richard Gregg
Strange. MSN claims they’ve “never heard of the guy”. So then I hop over to Google to see what’s what (click for full size):

Google Search for Richard Gregg

Whaatt?? So how is it that Google has nearly HALF A MILLION results and MSN claims to have none?? *sigh* This is truly sad…

EDITOR: Sorry about the crappy resolution on the images, apparently, ClearType doesn’t play nice with my screen caps.

Muhney Mugs…

February 6, 2006

I’ve known Michael all my life. Well, technically, I’ve known him all HIS life since he’s younger than me by a few months but you get the point. So he’s getting married this weekend and I wanted to wish him and his wife-to-be all the best. I’m certain that they’ll have a wonderful life together and I hope that we’ll get to share it with each other in some way like our parents did when we were growing up. Speaking of growing up – here are the pictures I told you I was going to post. (I am including “the kiss” here but I won’t link to it directly in my post to your fan site.:) )

Mikey and IMikey and I watching TVMikey and I kissing - eeewwww :)
